过往毕业典礼于每年十一或十二月举行。从2023年开始，香港都会大学每年举办两次毕业典礼，分别于夏季和冬季举行。

荣誉博士学位颁授典礼每年举行一次，向杰出人士颁授荣誉博士学位，以表扬他们的卓越成就及对社会的重大贡献。
