SAO Service-Learning Programmes
Service-Learning is defined as an experiential learning pedagogy that integrates meaningful community service with academic study and reflections to enrich students’ learning experience. Students can learn and grow by planning, implementing, reflecting and evaluating their service experience.
Through our Service-Learning programmes, students can utilize academic knowledge and skills to design and prepare their own service plans based on social needs. In the process of practical planning and serving others, students could gain deeper insight of their professional knowledge and conduct self-reflection, so as to attain whole-person development.
Student Affairs Office provides a wide range of disciplines. Students can take advantages of it to carry out interdisciplinary Service-Learning activities with folks from different majors. The knowledge of different disciplines could then be integrated, and the learning quality and social service could be enhanced as well.
