In the blink of an eye, it is winter again, and there are earlier nightfalls. On the way home from work and class, street lights, car lights and building lights under the night sky make up the night of the city. When I was able to go back to school, I would often stay on the campus until nightfall. Whenever I step out of the campus, the brightly lit school building always attracts my attention.
Because of the COVID-19, there are fewer and fewer opportunities to go back to school, and I find that my impression of the campus has gradually become blurred. Although I can recall the appearance of the campus, I never believe in the authenticity of memories. The lights, glass, walls and concrete of the school building that emerged in my mind merged with the streets and the city at night, forming a colourful abstract scene.
In this project, I have long exposed my images, while moving my camera simultaneously in the process in order to simulate a movement of the school buildings - where colourful and abstract images of the school building could be captured and recorded via the camera.
